Our charming Bothy, and the Longhouse (opening later this year), offer an idyllic base from which to explore Scotland's breathtaking scenery, from sparkling lochs and majestic mountains to picturesque villages, historic landmarks and vibrant cities.
Dating back to the 1700s, these former steading buildings once served as a dairy and granary and have been thoughtfully transformed into elegant countryside retreats. Original character and rustic charm blend effortlessly with contemporary comforts, creating stylish and inviting spaces designed for relaxation and reconnection.
Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. To make your stay even more effortless, we also offer our popular Heat & Eat Suppers, a selection of delicious, home-cooked meals prepared by us and ready for your arrival or for you to enjoy after a day exploring the Trossachs. Our Heat & Eat menu celebrates our own venison-based dishes and comforting homemade favourites, with a selection of meals that can be adapted for vegetarian and vegan guests, alongside a delicious alternative chicken option for those who prefer not to choose venison.

The Long House will be available from May 2026 and will have 1 large bedroom with a king sized bed and 2 single sofa bed in the lounge. The same sumptuous linnens are used to ensure a deep sleep. There is a very generous and modern kitchen with everything you could need for a weekend away, and a large shower room.

Meet the Owners - The Slaters
Hello, we husband and wife team, Alick Slater and Claire Dingwall Slater, and we take pride in offering a warm Scottish welcome to our guests. Our roots in hospitality and farming extend from our sister property, Muir Estate which is a self catering holiday home and deer farm just 3 miles from Mid Torrie Farm. We previously owned the 5 star Woodcroft House in Perth, awarded 'Best Guest House in Scotland 2022' by the Good Hotel Guide. Alick is from a long line of Orcadian farmers and has managed many Scottish Estates, so between the two of us we take pride in inviting you to experience authentic charm in this rural part of Scotland.
